On June 7th 2019, INGABO Syndicate in collaboration with AGRITERRA conducted the special event in Songa village, Mbare cell, Shyogwe Sector in Muhanga District.

The joint action contributed in putting in place the kitchen gardens in 166 households which compose this village whereby each family has been given six species of vegetables to be planted on Kitchen gardens (cabbages, carrots, spinaches, onions, beetroots and sweet peppers) in addition three species of fruits seedlings (1 orange, 1 mango and 1 papaya).

This activity has been successfully thanks to the good collaboration with Muhanga District local leaders.

Among the leader participating in this special event there were the Director of Agriculture in Muhanga District Mr. Thacien NGUMYEMBAREBE, INGABO Syndicate board of directors represented by Mrs. Césarie KANTARAMA, technical team and the members, the representative of AGRITERRA-Rwanda, Nutrition officer from Shyogwe Health center Mr. Emmanuel MUHIRWA, Shyogwe Sector Agronomist Mrs. Marie Chantal UWAMAHORO and thirty (30) agronomists among interns provided interns to INGABO Syndicate.

The inhabitants’ speaker said that they are deeply happy for the wonderfully activity accomplished by INGABO Syndicate and AGRITERRA.

Through all speeches released either by local leader, Health center nutrition officer, INGABO Syndicate or AGRITERRA representative Mr. J.M.V NTAKIRUTIMANA turned around to the importance of the present activity to the Songa village inhabitants by encouraging them to take care of fruits trees provided as well as vegetables for kitchen gardens for reaching the expected objectives of good nutrition and good health conditions to songa village people.
